The Role
We’re looking for a hands-on Senior Workshop Technician to join the Katanning team. Reporting to the Workshop Foreman, you’ll take the lead on workshop tasks, problem-solving, and occasionally assist with technical support on-site
What you’ll do
- Assemble, service, and repair agricultural equipment
- Resolve mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and auto-electrical issues
- Lead technical installation and support workshop staff
- Maintain quality standards and rework where required
- Deliver professional customer service and technical advice
What you’ll bring
- Trade qualification in Mechanical/Diesel Fitter (preferred but not essential)
- 5+ years experience in similar mechanical role
- Diagnostic skills across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and 12–24V systems
- Welding ability (MIG/TIG) and confidence reading technical drawings
- Good communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
- Agricultural machinery experience will be highly regarded
