As Senior Horticulture Commercial Agronomist, you will take national ownership of market development, working directly with corporate farming operations and large family growers to design, implement and commercialise season-long crop programmes. Backed by 30+ years of proprietary IP and agronomic data, you'll have the platform, the products and the autonomy to build something meaningful.
Location: Remote - Victoria, New South Wales or Queensland preferred.
Travel: Extensive national travel required to drive results.
The Opportunity
- Develop and lead national relationships with horticulture growers across Australia.
- Identify, pursue and convert new commercial opportunities.
- Design integrated crop programmes combining seed treatment, nutrition and bioproducts.
- Establish and manage a trial and demonstration programme. Then commercialise the outcomes.
- Work alongside distribution partners while directly owning key accounts.
- Operate with significant autonomy and direct access to the CEO.
What Success Looks Like
In your first 12 months, you will:
- Meet revenue targets and maintain gross margin targets through new commercial accounts.
- Secure forward crop programmes with targeted growers for the following season.
- Establish a credible and functioning trial and demonstration programme.
- Build a reliable, accurate commercial forecast that supports business planning.
About You
You're a senior commercial agronomist, agribusiness sales leader or technical sales specialist who thrives on building. You bring deep horticulture knowledge, established industry networks, and the credibility to influence at the highest level.
You'll also bring:
- Demonstrated success in agribusiness sales, business development or commercial agronomy.
- Strong, pre-existing relationships with key growers and influential agronomists.
- A commercial mindset that translates agronomic expertise into measurable grower value.
- The independence, resilience and drive to succeed in a lean, entrepreneurial environment.
- A genuine desire to build a market, not just service one.
Package & Benefits
- $180,000–$190,000 base salary
- Fully maintained Ford Ranger XL dual cab 4x4 (or equivalent)
