About the Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you’ll lead the on-site poultry processing operation. You’ll oversee production targets, compliance, and plant reliability while fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, train, and motivate a skilled processing team
- Manage daily operations to meet yield, quality, and safety targets
- Ensure compliance with WHS, animal welfare, and HACCP systems
- Drive process improvements and team development
About you
We’re looking for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, practical environment with experience in poultry, meat, or food processing.
You will also bring:
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and compliance systems.
- A proven track record in continuous improvement and change management.
- Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- A collaborative leadership style with a commitment to team development.
- Bonus points if you have butchery skills or a forklift licence.
