An Australian-owned manufacturer of precision in-furrow application equipment is seeking a Precision Ag Technical Specialist to support its dealer network and customers across Australia.

About the Opportunity
This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background and a passion for precision agriculture. You will provide product support, technical training and field expertise, working closely with dealers, OEM partners and growers to ensure customers get the best performance from industry-leading liquid application systems.

Responsibilities:
- Provide remote technical support and advice to customers.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues (electrical and mechanical)
- Implement integration of liquid application systems with commercially available Precision Ag control systems, including design of wiring harnesses, controller configuration and testing.
- Collaborate with equipment manufacturers and technology partners to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.
- Manage and maintain product support systems, including technical documentation, training resources, troubleshooting records, procedures and warranties.
- Deliver training on equipment operation and precision farming best practices.
- Contribute to R&D and product improvement.
- Build prototype and custom wiring harnesses.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience with electronic control systems for mechanical applications.
- A background in either auto-electrics, agriculture, farm machinery, agricultural technology, or a related field.
- Strong mechanical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience diagnosing and resolving technical issues in electrical and mechanical systems.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Confidence working independently and managing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Exposure to precision ag platforms or irrigation automation systems (e.g. John Deere, Trimble, Topcon, Raven, IRRInet) would be highly regarded.
- Ability to read electrical schematics.
- Strong computer literacy and confidence working with software and cloud-based platforms.
- A current driver's licence.
