About the Role
As Pack Shed Manager, you will oversee all operations – including receivals, grading, packing and dispatch – while leading a large workforce and embedding high standards in safety, quality and efficiency.
Key responsibilities include:
- Guide and mentor leadership and support teams
- Work closely with the maintenance team
- Ensure product quality is maintained and meets Freshcare/HARPS/HACCP standards
- Oversee scheduling, workflow, and equipment maintenance
- Short, medium, and long term labour planning and optimisation
- Drive WHS best practice and a proactive safety culture
- Collaborate with farming, logistics, compliance, and commercial teams
- Support business growth and succession planning
What You’ll Bring
- Proven operational and people leadership with a hands-on production floor presence
- Strong coaching and workforce planning capability (PALM experience, advantageous)
- QA/food safety experience and confidence with audits
- Good computer literacy (MS Office, production/WMS/ERP systems)
- Solid understanding of WHS and risk management
- Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and minor maintenance
- Positive, solutions-focused mindset with excellent communication and decision-making skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, seasonal environment
