About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll oversee apple and avocado packhouse operations and produce programs, covering everything from harvest, packing, and logistics through to marketing, grower partnerships, and customer delivery.
You’ll work within a supportive executive team and lead a fantastic packhouse crew who care about quality, innovation, and community.
What You’ll Do
- Manage daily packhouse operations for quality and efficiency
- Lead apple and avocado programs from harvest through to dispatch
- Manage grower partnerships, contracts, and quality assurance processes
- Build and maintain strong retail, fresh market wholesale, and export relationships
- Ensure compliance with food safety and accreditation standards (Freshcare, HARPS, SQF, SafeAg, ICA)
- Support marketing activities and branded programs such as Jazz™ and Kanzi® apples
- Contribute to business planning, budgeting, and continuous improvement
About You
- Proven experience in packhouse operations, and production
- Experience with fresh produce supply-chain management
- Strong leadership and people-management skills
- Financial, analytical, and strategic planning capability
- Understanding of export, compliance, and QA systems
- Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship skills
