The Opportunity
Reporting to the Managing Director, you’ll drive the development of innovative irrigation technology, overseeing the R&D, Agronomy, and Training Department.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead agronomic R&D programs, including bench and field testing of prototype hardware and software
- Oversee research programs, including field and bench testing of prototypes
- Manage partnerships with universities, government bodies and commercial stakeholders
- Develop agronomic publications and training materials for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Drive team performance, coaching and development across a small specialist team (direct + indirect reports)
- Present key insights, progress and outcomes to the Board
About You
- Degree-qualified in Agriculture or related field (irrigation, control, fertigation, soil, crop or plant nutrition focus)
- Proven experience leading agronomy teams or external technical partners in a commercial setting
- Strong background in designing and delivering ag R&D trials/models and translating findings across business and customer groups
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to simplify technical content
- Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally as required
