Our client manages large-scale macadamia farming and nursery operations across Queensland and NSW and is entering an exciting phase of corporate development. They are seeking a commercially minded Lead Agribusiness Analyst to establish and lead their new Business Intelligence & Analytics function.

Reporting to the Business Manager, you will build the systems, processes, and team capability to centralise and professionalise all data and cost management functions. This leadership role is integral in supporting the management team to make well informed operational and financial decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and lead the Business Intelligence & Analytics Department.
  • Consolidate operational, production and financial data
  • Develop meaningful reporting dashboards and performance metrics
  • Deliver accurate cost-of-production analysis, budget tracking and business performance reporting.
  • Partner with ICT providers to drive data integration, automation and API-enabled reporting solutions.
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures and governance frameworks relating to data management and business intelligence.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting accuracy, efficiency and business performance.

Role Requirements
  • Qualifications in Business Analytics, Data Science, Finance, Agribusiness or a related discipline.
  • An understanding of agricultural or horticultural operations, including production costs, labour productivity and seasonal business cycles.
  • Strong experience using business intelligence and data visualisation tools
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial analysis skills.
  • Experience developing reporting frameworks and delivering insights to diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Strong communication skills to engage effectively with both field-based and corporate teams.
  • Experience with Ag Commander or similar farm management systems will be highly regarded.
