Our client is seeking an experienced Grain Trader to drive domestic and export grain marketing services and support growers across Australia. This is a pivotal role where your expertise will directly influence trade growth into key Asian markets, including Indonesia, Vietnam, China, Taiwan, and South Korea.
The Role
- Manage grain trading activities across wheat, barley, canola and pulses.
- Act as the link between growers, accumulators and international/domestic buyers.
- Negotiate contracts and safeguard farmer interests while meeting client expectations.
- Monitor market trends, manage risk, and identify profitable trading opportunities.
- Contribute to a direct-sourcing strategy and market expansion.
About You
- Proven experience in commodity trading and/or grain exports.
- Strong commercial acumen and risk management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of pulses and grains, with an eye for market drivers.
- Familiarity with quality standards, market regulations, and compliance.
- Tertiary qualifications in Agribusiness, Commerce or related field (preferred).
- Confident communicator with the ability to build long-term partnerships.
