Our client, a vertically integrated national horticultural business is seeking an experienced farm professional to lead a high-performing team, influence company-wide strategy, and deliver results across production, people, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day farm and pack shed operations to maximise efficiency, crop yield, and product quality.
- Oversee seasonal orchard activities, harvesting, post-harvest handling, and quality control processes.
- Manage and develop all farm staff, fostering safety, engagement, accountability, and high performance.
- Maintain and optimise infrastructure, equipment, and operational assets.
- Plan and execute production schedules, labour management, resource allocation, and budgets.
- Drive continuous improvement, problem-solving, and operational innovation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, stakeholders, and industry networks.
- Represent the business at industry forums, events, and with external partners.
Skills & Experience
- Proven senior leadership experience in farm, pack shed, or agribusiness operations.
- Hands-on, practical approach with strong problem-solving ability.
- Demonstrated experience in team development, engagement & high-performance culture.
- Knowledge of crop production, post-harvest processes, irrigation & farm infrastructure.
- Commercial acumen with the ability to influence broader operational & strategic outcomes.
