This is a hands-on leadership role where you will drive performance across established citrus orchards, supported by complementary plantings of grapes and avocados. You will oversee the full production cycle, ensuring optimal yield, quality and commercial outcomes.
The Details
Reporting to the Board and working closely with the Company Secretary, you will manage all on-farm operations, including:
- Planning and overseeing irrigation, pruning, fertilising and harvesting programs
- Managing pest and disease control across vineyards and orchards
- Leading and supervising a team of 6 full-time staff plus seasonal contractors
- Scheduling and coordinating daily operational activities
- Maintaining accurate records for fertiliser use, maintenance and harvest
- Developing production budgets and performance targets
- Implementing and monitoring WHS policies and procedures
- Ensuring plant, equipment and infrastructure are well maintained
About You
- Bachelor degree or higher in a related field with at least 12 months of relevant work experience, or at least 5 years of relevant work experience in irrigated horticulture, especially citrus production.
- Strong people leadership and team management skills
- Sound planning, budgeting and organisational capability
- A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
- Commitment to workplace safety and compliance
