Our client is looking for a practical, experienced leader to manage wool, beef, and cropping programs at Mawallok Station, a historic, high-performing property near Beaufort. Backed by a Melbourne and China-based leadership team and part of a wider network of well-run stations, you’ll lead a skilled team, deliver strong production results, and confidently represent the property to guests, brand partners, and ownership.

Why Mallawok
Mawallok is a 2,750ha property near Beaufort running a fine Merino RWS-certified wool enterprise, as well as beef and cropping operations. This is a working farm that hosts international leaders from the fashion, food, and fibre industries. It features:
  • 2.5 hectares of heritage gardens
  • A private golf course
  • Regular visits from international clients

Two full-time gardeners manage the grounds so you can focus entirely on the farm enterprise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee sheep, cattle, and cropping operations for productivity, quality, and sustainability
  • Lead seasonal and financial planning, budgets, and reporting
  • Build capability through training, mentoring, and team culture
  • Maintain high standards across property, plant, and equipment
  • Represent the station to guests, partners, and the wider business

About You
  • Proven experience managing mixed livestock and cropping enterprises
  • Understanding of Merino wool and sustainable practices
  • Strong communication skills and practical leadership style
  • Business acumen with sound mechanical knowledge
  • Well-trained working dogs
  • Qualifications in Agriculture, ChemCert, or Lifetime Ewe Management (advantageous)

What’s on Offer
  • Competitive salary package
  • Hilux, phone, laptop, and dog food supplied
  • Comfortable on-farm accommodation with school bus access
  • Relocation support
  • Study tours and professional development opportunities
