The Lucas Group is searching for a Broiler Manager to lead the Broiler Services Representatives team and oversee the performance of 48 broiler farms in Southeast Queensland.

The Opportunity
Working closely with the team and growers, you'll monitor daily broiler operations and drive improvements in production, bird health, welfare and efficiency. You'll also manage transport contractors, ensuring the timely and compliant movement of live birds across the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of 5 Broiler Service Representatives.
- Oversee the performance and day-to-day servicing of contract broiler farms.
- Ensure contract growers are providing frequent, accurate performance data.
- Liaise with the appointed live haul contractor for catching and transportation operations across SE QLD.
- Ensure compliance with Group Minimum Standard Procedures, Group Quality Procedures and Animal Welfare Legislation.
- Monitor operational KPIs and Chain of Responsibility compliance.
- Drive improvements in productivity, animal welfare and operational standards.
About You
- 5+ years' poultry experience (preferably in broiler production).
- Experience managing complex agricultural operations.
- Proven people leadership and team development skills.
- Strong knowledge of poultry production, animal health and welfare.
- Experience managing contractors, transport or livestock logistics.
- Understanding of food safety, biosecurity, WHS and regulatory compliance.
- Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility requirements.
- Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to travel extensively and work early mornings or nights when required.
