About the Role
As Assistant Accountant, you’ll work within a small, supportive and high-performing finance team. This is a hands-on role offering broad exposure across financial and management accounting, with the chance to learn from experienced professionals and contribute to both domestic and export operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily financial and management accounting activities.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
- Perform reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Use Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and accounting systems to analyse data.
- Collaborate with colleagues to meet deadlines and drive process improvements.
About You
You’re detail-focused, proactive, and eager to build a career in agribusiness finance. You enjoy variety and thrive in a small team environment where every contribution matters.
What You’ll Bring
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills and confidence learning new systems.
- Sound understanding of financial and management accounting principles.
- Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A strong work ethic, sense of urgency, and collaborative attitude.
- Knowledge of agriculture, grain marketing, or international trade is an advantage (not essential).
