About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager – Farming & Operations (QLD), you'll:
- Develop agronomic strategies to maximise yield, quality and profitability.
- Design crop nutrition, irrigation and fertigation programs.
- Lead integrated pest management and sustainable farming initiatives.
- Conduct field trials and evaluate new technologies.
- Analyse production data and identify improvement opportunities.
- Coach and support Farm Managers and Growers.
- Build strong relationships with industry, research and supplier partners.
About You
- A degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, Horticulture or Plant Science.
- Strong commercial agronomy experience.
- Sound knowledge of plant nutrition, irrigation and crop production.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- A commercial mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
Experience in banana production would be highly regarded; however, we also welcome applications from experienced agronomists working in other horticultural industries who are looking to apply their expertise within a large-scale commercial banana business.
